Mammoth Snow
Privacy policy
Last updated November 2026
What personal information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. We keep it simple and we never sell your information.
Who we are
Mammoth Snow, 2061 Weston Rd, York, Ontario M9N 1X7. Our contact for privacy questions is info@mammothsnow.ca.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email, service address, postal code, the package you want, and anything you tell us about your property (like garden edges or sprinkler heads).
- Information from providing the service: dates and times of visits, and photos of the cleared areas of your property.
- Payment information: card payments happen on the payment provider's secure page, and we never see or store your card number. We see that a payment was made and its amount. For Interac e-Transfer we see the sender name and email on the transfer.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider may log your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure.
Why we collect it
- To check we can serve your address and to send you a quote or service agreement.
- To provide the service, contact you about visits and storms, and send you proof of service.
- To take payment, issue receipts and keep the financial and tax records the law requires.
- To answer your questions and deal with complaints, claims and damage reports.
We only use your information for these purposes. We ask for your consent when you send us a request or sign the agreement. You can withdraw consent at any time, though we may not be able to continue the service without the information we need to provide it.
Texts and emails
We'll contact you by phone, text or email about your request and your service. We send marketing emails only if you've agreed to receive them, and every one has an easy way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:
- our website host and the service that delivers our contact form,
- our payment provider and bank,
- our email provider,
- our insurer, accountant or legal advisor if needed, and anyone the law requires us to share with.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, so your information may be handled in other countries and could be accessible under those countries' laws. This site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when the page loads.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. If that changes, we'll update this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep customer records for as long as we need them to provide the service, and afterwards for as long as the law requires for business and tax records, normally up to six years. Then we delete or anonymize them. Visit photos are kept to deal with any damage claim and then deleted.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards, such as password-protected accounts and limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that creates a real risk of serious harm to you, we'll tell you and the privacy regulator as the law requires.
Your choices
- Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your information (we may have to keep some for legal and tax reasons).
Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top.
